How the work connects
Discover
Walk through your actual process and its exceptions.
Configure
Set supported rules and connect agreed data flows.
Validate
Rehearse with representative work, then agree rollout readiness.
Define one complete operating process
Start with an order source, a receipt, picking and packing requirements, and a customer question. Identify the tools and people involved in each handoff.
Map each requirement to current capability, supported configuration, integration work or planned functionality. This becomes the implementation scope.
Configure the rules your floor will use
Define locations, merchant settings, structured fields, packing checks and approval responsibilities where supported. Test each significant setting through a warehouse task.
For integrations, agree data direction, supported fields and ownership. Validate the actual operations, such as ShipStation order intake and fulfillment writeback.
Rehearse the work before cutover
Use representative data to check stock states, order work and exceptions. Train the people performing those tasks and agree what happens if cutover validation fails.
The written scope should cover migration, training, validation responsibilities, support and acceptance. Timing and responsibilities depend on that scope.
Frequently asked questions
Will SIP configure our warehouse for us?
Agree configuration responsibilities in the implementation scope. Supported settings and custom implementation work should be identified separately.
Can we retain our current tools?
Some tools can remain through supported connections. The evaluation should define each boundary and validate representative data.
Are planned modules included in the go-live?
Only if explicitly available and agreed in scope. A roadmap item is not a go-live dependency by default.
