How the work connects
Intake
Read orders from a supported source, such as selected ShipStation stores.
Warehouse work
Manage stock and carry out the picking and packing workflow.
Shipment handoff
Use the supported connection to send shipment details back to the order source.
Bring incoming orders into the warehouse workflow
SIP connects order management with inventory, picking and packing. Supported connectors bring orders into that workflow; the ShipStation connector, for example, reads orders from selected stores.
Each integration has an agreed data boundary. That makes the order source, warehouse responsibilities and shipment handoff explicit.
Work with the actual state of the stock
Receiving decisions and inventory states provide context for fulfillment. Damaged, held and receiving quantities have distinct meanings from available stock.
When a merchant requests a hold under an approval-required policy, the request remains pending until an operator decides. Approval applies the hold; the request itself does not change stock availability.
Close the supported shipping handoff
Once the warehouse work is complete, the connected shipping flow carries the shipment details to the appropriate system. ShipStation fulfillment writeback sends the carrier, one tracking number and ship date.
Scheduling and operational ticket integration are coming soon. Current WMS workflows can be evaluated today alongside the defined external connections.
Frequently asked questions
Does connected mean every external system is replaced?
No. The setup identifies which integrations remain and what each system owns.
Can we see exceptions in a demo?
Yes—bring a short receipt, a held order or a packing requirement. Those scenarios make the evaluation concrete.
Are scheduling and tickets already integrated?
Their integration into SIP WMS is coming soon. Current warehouse capabilities and separate coordination tools should be evaluated distinctly.
