Configurable warehouse management

Your warehouse rules should reach the floor.

Set warehouse defaults, add client-specific policies and capture structured information. SIP applies supported configuration in the warehouse workflow.

Illustrative workflow

How the work connects

  1. Warehouse default

Define a shared packing verification policy.

  2. Client override

Change one check for a merchant; retain the other defaults.

  3. Floor consequence

The packing workflow uses the resolved policy for that merchant.

Change a check. See it change the work.

Packing verification resolves each check from the client’s override, then the warehouse default. An override for one check leaves the other defaults in place.

For example, change a merchant’s scan requirement and the packing workflow uses that merchant’s effective policy. Weight verification depends on usable expected-weight data; without it, the comparison is skipped.

Keep shared requirements while adding client detail

Client-specific custom fields supplement the warehouse schema. Locked warehouse fields cannot be overridden by a client schema.

The warehouse retains its required information while a client adds the structured details its operation needs.

Set the responsibility for holds

Receiving holds can use merchant overrides of warehouse defaults. Merchant-requested holds separately support approval-required and self-service modes.

Receiving policy controls incoming stock; request policy controls who may ask for or apply a hold. Configure each around the people responsible for the decision.

Define the configuration scope before rollout

Selected policies support client overrides; other settings remain warehouse-wide. Match each requirement to a supported setting and its effect on the floor.

Configuration and custom implementation are separate scope decisions. Your proposal should identify the settings available to your team and any implementation work required.

Frequently asked questions

Is every setting client-specific?

No. Selected policies and custom-field behavior support merchant overrides. Some controls remain warehouse-wide. Confirm the exact requirement.

Can a client remove a required warehouse field?

Locked tenant fields cannot be overridden by a merchant schema.

Does customisable mean custom development is included?

No. Configuration and implementation work are separate scope questions. The proposal should say which is required.
