Warehouse management for ShipStation users

Shipping connected. Warehouse work under control.

Keep ShipStation connected while SIP handles receiving, stock locations, picking and packing. Give your growing operation a warehouse workflow behind each shipment.

Illustrative workflow

How the work connects

  1. Order arrives

An order from a selected ShipStation store enters SIP.

  2. Warehouse executes

Receive and locate stock, manage the order and confirm the warehouse work.

  3. Shipment returns

Supported writeback sends carrier, one tracking number and ship date to ShipStation.

Give every shipment a warehouse process

SIP adds the receiving, location and picking workflows that sit behind the shipping desk. Your team can record what arrived, find where it belongs and carry out the work needed to fulfill an order.

Use ShipStation as a supported order source while warehouse execution happens in SIP. ShipStation also offers inventory and warehouse features. Choose which system should own receiving, client requirements and floor execution.

Orders in. Shipment details back.

The ShipStation order connector reads orders from the stores you select. Its fulfillment writeback sends the carrier, one tracking number and ship date to ShipStation’s mark-shipped operation.

The order connector does not import tracking or provide unrestricted two-way inventory synchronization. ShipStation carrier services are a separate capability; your account and shipping setup determine the right combination.

  • Select the stores that supply orders.
  • Map products before importing warehouse work.
  • Validate the shipment writeback against your order pattern.

Start with a representative store

Begin with a limited store and representative orders. Check SKU mappings, stock locations and one completed shipment before expanding the connection.

Include split-shipment requirements in the initial scope. Multiple tracking numbers and exporting every SIP-created order to ShipStation are outside the order connector described here.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to replace ShipStation?

No. This page describes evaluating SIP alongside ShipStation. The final setup depends on which system you want to own each workflow.

Does SIP synchronize everything both ways?

No. The order connector supports incoming orders and a defined fulfillment writeback. It does not provide unrestricted two-way inventory or tracking synchronization.

What should I bring to a demo?

A sample order, your store structure, one SKU-mapping problem and a typical shipment. Include split-shipment requirements if you have them.
